The sun is up, the sky is blue, it's beautiful and so are you... Dear Prudence, won't you come out to play?

Look around, around, around, around...
I've been listening to The Beatles/Across the Universe soundtrack a lot lately. I love it. The music has such a psychadelic quality to it. It's comforting. It helps me get out of my head and just let my mind wander through different pictures and stories in my head. Normally, I am stuck in my head, talking to myself and worrying and/or stressing about every little thing. I just sit back and turn on some music and let it all melt away.

The girl with kaleidoscope eyes...
I was in Peer Support in my senior year of high school. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. During that time I made friends with a Sophomor girl. We became very close during the winter retreat at Camp Ripley. So much so that we pushed our beds together at night so we could talk and cuddle. It was so much fun. I love this girl dearly. During the retreat we learned a lot about each other. She told me that she struggles with ED. This girl is so beautiful inside and out and just a joy to be around I couldn't believe it. Now, reading her blog it just breaks my heart that this amazing person has to struggle so hard just eat a meal, or even function. She lives in a world of fear. I just want to hold her and make it all just go away. I would give anything for her just to have a fucking moment of peace.

My name is Brian "B-Rock" Littrell

I've had a really good week this week. I've had a lot of homework and assignments but overall I had a great week. For my Writing class I'm writing a persuasive essay against teaching abstinence-only education in schools. That is a subject that I am really passionate about. Lots of kids that are taught only abstinence do not know how to use contraception. Then if something happens and they decide that waiting for marriage is not the right choice for them, they don't have safe sex and then end up pregnant. Don't get me wrong, I'm in no way saying that abstinence shouldn't be taught in schools, it should. However, kids should be taught where to get and how to use contraception in the event they do have sex. Kids need to be given the tools to protect themselves. If a child/teenager is passionate and committed to abstaining, they will take it more seriously, but if they are not serious about it they are more likely to have sex and if they don't know how to have safe sex they're going to end up pregnant or getting some kind of STI. I think schools should teach completely comprehensive sex education abstinence, contraception, safe sex and all. But that's enough about my paper. I'm excited to finish it. Maybe I'll post it on here once it's done.
Spring break is around the corner, only one more week. Then I'll be home for 9 days. Libby's baby shower is next Saturday, and there's an Our Feature Presentation show at 400 Bar on March 13th. I'm excited to go home but I'm also nervous. It's kind of weird going home. I got used to living in St Cloud so quickly and it's seems like I completely forgot what it was like to live at home.

It's Been A Long Time Comin

Wow, I haven't updated this in a long, long time. Well, let's see what's new in my life since i last posted.

My classes are going great and at this point I have mostly As. I love all of my profs, and I'm really getting familiar with the campus.

I'm making a few new friends, not as many as I'd like but I know by the end of the semester I'll know plenty of people.

Well, it's alost bedtime around here. I'm gonna hit the hay. I'm going to try to post once a week from now on.

TGIF

It's finally Friday. Free at last! Well, not yet. I have to get some lunch and go to my 1:00 class. After that, I have to pay my parking ticket, buy my parking pass, grab my stuff, and head home. Then I'm going to dinner with Amber when I get back into the cities. Then Our Feature Presentation is having a show at the 400 Bar in Minneapolis. I can't wait until Kate gets back from Mexico. I miss her.

Just got back from lunch. Delicious. Class in an hour. Then I have to run to those offices and get my stuff paid and get my parking permit. After that I'm going to go get my car, load it up, and head home :)

Just a Wednesday in St Cloud

I didn't have any classes today. I spent the day doing chores, relaxing, and doing homework. I got some laundry done. I wrote a paper and did some reading for my classes tomorrow. The paper sucked to write but I had to do it. I'm hoping I do well. Thinking about heading to bed soon. Class at 11 AM tomorrow. Loud boys in the hall way. The room next to our is always have loud sex. Who knew concrete walls could be so thin? Ha ha. I'm going home on Friday after my 1:00 class and coming back around 5:00 PM on Monday. It's MLK Jr day on Monday so there's no classes. My mom said I could stay another night, that way I can go to vespers on Sunday without having to drive back at 11:00 at night. And then maybe I can see my Bethels for a bit. My mom and I are gonna have a movie day and I'm going to lunch with Libby. I miss home a lot but I'm doing well. I haven't cried or freaked out yet. Maybe I will once school gets more stressful but for now I'm good.

First day of classes

On Sunday I got my room all set up. I took a bunch of pictures of it. I am so excited to be here. I miss home a little but I'm doing well here so far.

Yesterday was the first day of the semester. My only class on Mondays was cancelled yesterday and tomorrow. So, I spent the whole day sitting in my room and organizing things. Danielle and I went grocery shopping and to Target to get food, a power strip, tape, and some other stuff. Then I ate my first meal in the dining hall. The food is really good. When we came back Danielle and I watched some TV.

Today I had three classes: two college experience classes and an english class. The first two seem pretty easy. I should be able to get A's in both of them. The english class seems to be almost the same class I took at Century last fall, I kind of know what to expect.
I have a couple friends up here. It's pretty exciting. Danielle and I hang out with her friends, Shannon and Hannah. They are so much fun. I also met a nice guy at lunch today. I was sitting alone and he just came up and sat with me. His name is Thor. "Yes, Thor, like the Norse God of Thunder."
