First day of classes

On Sunday I got my room all set up. I took a bunch of pictures of it. I am so excited to be here. I miss home a little but I'm doing well here so far.

Yesterday was the first day of the semester. My only class on Mondays was cancelled yesterday and tomorrow. So, I spent the whole day sitting in my room and organizing things. Danielle and I went grocery shopping and to Target to get food, a power strip, tape, and some other stuff. Then I ate my first meal in the dining hall. The food is really good. When we came back Danielle and I watched some TV.

Today I had three classes: two college experience classes and an english class. The first two seem pretty easy. I should be able to get A's in both of them. The english class seems to be almost the same class I took at Century last fall, I kind of know what to expect.
I have a couple friends up here. It's pretty exciting. Danielle and I hang out with her friends, Shannon and Hannah. They are so much fun. I also met a nice guy at lunch today. I was sitting alone and he just came up and sat with me. His name is Thor. "Yes, Thor, like the Norse God of Thunder."

But when I become a star we'll be livin so large, I'll do anything for you

My first REAL semester of college is creeping so quickly. I'm so terrified. . It's so stressful. The worst part is the loans. Half of it is in "legal-ese", a term made up by one of my co-workers for me lol, and the other half I'm pretty sure isn't even in English.
It's so hard to get excited for Christmas and my fast-approaching 20th birthday because there's still so much to do. I need everything pretty much from supplies to bedding.
I have my advising day on Friday December 11th. I'm so nervous. I'm going to call tomorrow (well since it's 3:00 AM that'd be today) and see if I can make an appointment with the Financial Aid people at SCSU and get help. I'm so confused.
It'll all get sorted out, I know it will. Life is just hard sometimes.

Little Tiny Update

I filled out my housing application today. Now I just have to wait for my financial aid to go through and then I can pay the $250 Application Fee/Housing Deposit. Ugh, I hate money. If only the world currency were sauce packets, I'd have enough to go to Harvard. Ha ha.

A Little Update.

I got my information for registering for an advising day. That's basically my campus tour day or first year student day. I'll update more when I have more information.

I'm a HUSKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got accepted into Saint Cloud State University!!! I found out on-line first. I took a picture of the webpage. A couple days later I got my acceptance letter and packet in the mail. I'll put up a picture of that as soon as my camera is up and running again :) I'm so happy and so nervous.

i've got to move on and be who i am

So right now I'm working on my application for Saint Cloud State University. I really, really need to get out of my parents' house and this town even. It's going to hard and I'm going to be lonely for a while but I really think I need this.
